Your Tasting Specialist will assist you in making your first month’s selection which will be billed and shipped with your enrollment in our wine club. Future shipments are billed within the first seven days of the month. While there are no fees associated with club membership, we do ask that you be an active member for one year to receive the full benefits of membership.

Shipment Info
We hope that we can make the delivery of your monthly or quarterly wine club an enjoyable experience. You'll receive an email notification letting you know when your wine is available for pick up or a tracking number when it has been shipped.
The following is a pick up and shipping schedule for our Wine Club Members. If you have elected to come to the winery and pick up your wine, it will be ready for pick up on the dates indicated. If you have chosen to have your wine shipped via UPS, your wine will be shipped on the dates shown. If you'd like to change your method of receiving your wine, please contact Toni at (925) 240-9463, ext. 101 or just email us at wineclub@hnvwines.com.

Serve this appetizer with the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc!
Ingredients:
3/4 pound very fresh tuna steak
4 tablespoons olive oil
Grated zest of 1 lime
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 teaspoon wasabi powder
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
6 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup minced scallions, white and green parts (2 scallions)
2 teaspoons minced fresh jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
1 ripe Hass avocado
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Cut the tuna into 1/4-inch dice and place it in a medium bowl. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lime zest, lime juice, wasabi, soy sauce, Tabasco, salt, and pepper. Pour over the tuna, add the scallions and jalapeno, and mix well. Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, and peel. Cut the avocado into 1/4-inch dice. Carefully mix the avocado into the tuna mixture. Add the toasted sesame seeds if using and season to taste. Allow the mixture to sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour for the flavors to blend. Serve on crackers.
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
1 pound bittersweet (or combination) chocolate,
chopped into small pieces
1 stick unsalted butter*
9 large eggs, separated
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
3/4 cup granulated sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
2 cups heavy cream, cold
Confectioners' sugar, for dusting
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9-inch spring form pan.
Put the chocolate and butter into the top of a double boiler (or in a heat proof bowl) and heat over (but not touching) about 1 inch of simmering water until melted. Meanwhile, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar in a mixing bowl until light yellow in color. Whisk a little of the chocolate mixture into the egg yolk mixture to temper the eggs - this will keep the eggs from scrambling from the heat of the chocolate; then whisk in the rest of the chocolate mixture.
Beat the egg whites and cream of tartar in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form and fold into the chocolate mixture. Pour into the prepared pan (spray the bottom with nonstick spray) and bake until the cake is set, the top starts to crack, and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out with moist crumbs clinging to it, 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes, then un-mold.
While the cake is cooking, make the whipped cream. Whip the cream until it be
comes light and fluffy. Dust the cake with confectioners' sugar.
Serve at room temperature with the whipped cream.
Summer Sangria
4 - 750ml Btls Syrah
½ - 750ml Btl Port (12 oz)
8 oz. Triple Sec/ Triple Sec Syrup
24 oz Orange juice
4 oz Lemon juice
1 cup Sugar
2 quarts chilled club soda
3 oranges, thinly sliced in quarters
3 lemons, thinly sliced in quarters
Ice to chill
Thoroughly chill all ingredients. Pour the wine, port, and Triple Sec into a large punch bowl. Stir orange juice and lemon juice with the sugar until sugar has dissolved. Then add to bowl and stir to blend. Add ice and soda and garnish with the fruit slices. Serve in 4 ounce punch glasses or wineglasses. Makes about 100 servings.

If you have a question about your wine or would like suggestions, please call the winery and we can assist you to promptly fill your order. Orders can also be placed on-line
3. Can I order wine sent as a gift or for a special occasion?
We can take orders for gifts of wine or merchandise, which like other orders can be billed to your credit card (on file). A personalized gift card can be enclosed, and special delivery can be arranged. Some restrictions apply as we are not authorized to ship to all 50 states or internationally. If you have questions, feel free to contact us at the winery. We're happy to help!
4. How do I change my membership information (address, phone, credit card, etc.)?
Email Wineclub@hnvwines.com if you prefer, call Toni at the winery (925)240-9463x101 and we can change the information promptly. Please be sure to keep us posted about your updated credit card expiration dates.
5. What if I'm going to be gone at the time a shipment is due to be sent?
Please refer to our "Release Dates" schedule. If you anticipate not being able to sign for the shipment please give us a call well in advance of the release date. We can make arrangements to delay your shipment for a little while or deliver to an alternate address.
6. What if I'm not home when they try to deliver my shipment?
UPS will either make two more attempts or will leave a notice that delivery was attempted asking you to call to make re-delivery arrangements. We strongly recommend that your wine be delivered to a business address. By law, it is necessary to have a person 21 years of age or older sign for the shipment
7. I signed up myself, but do the discounts apply to others like my spouse, girlfriend or other family member?
As other wine clubs do, the benefits apply only to spouses. Sorry, but no other family members, friends, girlfriends, or boyfriends receive discounts. But the free tasting applies to the Wine Club members and 3 guests every time you visit. Please note, your free tasting benefit is available only to members and personal guests.
8. Can I give a Wine Club membership as a gift?
Gift memberships are available for purchase by contacting our Wine Club manager or when visiting the tasting room at the winery. Just let us know how many shipments you would like them to receive and they will be billed to your account on file. There is a minimum of three shipments.
9. Can I pick up the wine at the winery?
Absolutely! If you have signed up to pick up your order at the winery you may do so anytime after you receive the wine club notification mail or email. If you are unable to pick up your order within 30 days, we will ship to you unless prior arrangements have been made.
10. How do I cancel or rejoin?
Email Toni at the winery and we can cancel (We ask that you be an active member for one year and commit to receiving the full benefit of the years membership) or reinstate your membership. Please allow 10 days for the cancellation to become effective.
